Mural by the Foot

The Foundation is proud to sponsor the “Mural by the Foot” project to benefit the Children’s RoomAllen & Mary Dee Dodge at the Hayden Library.   Local artists Allen and Mary Dodge have created a wooden bench and tree surrounded by a mural of the woods of North Idaho.

Your $100 donation purchases 1 foot of mural space. In addition your name will be placed in the artwork  among the trees and animals.

Donations can be made on this website, drop them off at the Hayden Library attention John Hartung, Library Director or in the mail at Hayden Library, 8385 N Government Way, Hayden, ID 83835.

Thank you for your support.

Working hard for you!

LOOK WHAT THE KSAL FOUNDATION IS UP TO:

  • The Landscaping for Hayden and Rathdrum was financed by our patrons and it will be an ongoing project for a while to come. New bushes, trees, flowering plants and greenery of every kind. With the new additions and construction completed in our libraries the outsides will now be as beautiful as the inside.
  • The special furniture for the libraries teen areas is being used and appreciated.
  • Athol is getting a new bike rack.
  • Harrison is getting a new bike rack and a storage building
  • Hayden will get courtyard seating
  • Outreach(Bookmobile) will receive a digital camera and a small electric vacuum. (Because even a library on wheels needs to be kept up to public standards!)
  • Pinehurst has received a new flagpole
  • Rathdrum will receive a free standing coat rack
  • In Spirit Lake, a custom shelving area in the children’s area will be a welcome addition.
  • Youth Services received two digital cameras.
  • Hayden Young Adult area received new furniture.
  • Each KSAL branch received a new story time rug for programs.

These items have all come from the individual libraries’ “Wish Lists.”

The KSAL FOUNDATION is very happy to be able to provide these things to the library branches. As we all know, Libraries are more then just books. They are extensions of your home and our home. They are places to learn, relax, and broaden our minds.

We are able to do this because of our patron’s generous donations.

You can help in the future by donating to the KSAL foundation. Look for donation envelopes at any Kootenai-Shoshone Area Library or donate online using the button at the top of this page.
